Mahendra Innovation Center is started under the visionary leadership of Er. Ba. Mahendhiran, Managing Director, Mahendra Educational Institutions. This center aims at bringing the scientific community together from various disciplines to synergize its innovative ideas and materialize into products. It is an innovative platform to empower the scientific community towards inspiration and invention. It is a part of Mahendra Educational Trust and will focus on the latest technological innovations and make the research relevant to societal needs. All the ideas and innovations will be protected by IPR and patents which will be shared by the Inventors and the innovation center.
The thrust areas of research and development will focus on Solar Energy, Healthcare Solutions, Smart Textiles, Pharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, Food Science and Energy Efficient Devices. We foresee great opportunities for growth in our Invention, Innovation and Technology. We are working in collaboration with world-class experts who are working in reputed universities and top international research centers. This strategic partnership will facilitate exchange of knowledge among our researchers in fundamental and applied research in the fields of chemistry, material science, engineering and application technology.
By 2020, we foresee establishment of cluster of Device Manufacturing Hub and Nanotechnology Park to develop range of innovative products and to provide technological consultancy and services to the industries. This innovation center will play an important role in 'MAKE IN INDIA' initiative by our Honorable Prime Minister to design and develop technologically important Products and Devices for the benefits of humanity.
